One of the films that was looking to hit the theatres in June was Mumbai Saga. Sanjay Gupta was shooting with the cast and crew at a real location in Mumbai when they had to stop due to the coronavirus pandemic. Now, Mumbai Mirror has reported that they are all set to resume shoot in Telangana’s Ramoji Rao Film City. It seems they are waiting for the go-ahead from the Telangana Government, which has laid down some rules in sync with the Producers Guild Of India and state. Once, the approvals are in place, the whole team will head to Hyderabad. Gupta confirmed the news to Mumbai Mirror.
He told the paper, “Yes, we are planning to shoot in Ramoji Rao Film City as they have all the facilities and equipment required, including an in-house crew and technical staff, along with hotels for the team from Mumbai. It’s all contained within the studio premises and that cuts down the risk.” It seems 10-12 days of work is remaining on the movie, which is an action-packed gangster drama. It seems all the actors are keen to begin work on the film. He further said, “They have all worked really hard on the film and are happy to finish it on time so that we can present it to the audience.” It seems the post-production of the film will take another four months.
It seems the teams were working on editing and visual effects from home. He told the paper, “Yes, we’ve been working in a limited way, but we still need around four months, from the time we complete the shoot to lock the final print.” Bhushan Kumar also confirmed the development saying that he was grateful that the Telangana Government agreed for the proposal. He said the health and safety of everyone was of foremost concern. The film stars John Abraham, Emraan Hashmi, Suniel Shetty, Jackie Shroff and Prateik Babbar in an ensemble cast
