Director Krish was handed the responsibility of directing the two parts of NTR biopic titled Kathanayakudu and Mahanayakudu. After the trailer of NTR Kathanayakudu was released in a grand event, expectations on the biopic were quite high because of the way the trailer was packaged. But post release, the film couldn’t impress the audience and turned out to be a mediocre business at the box office. And the second part, NTR Mahanayakudu, too faced a similar situation. Director Krish faced the wrath majorly and was being blamed for the debacle of the film. And since then, Krish decided to stay low. And seems like Krish has decided to move on. News has it that Krish will now try his luck in Bollywood and has already narrated a script to Akshay Kumar with who he has worked in the past. Reportedly, Krish and Akshay had decided to collaborate again in the future during Gabbar is Back. And looks like the time has come. An official confirmation regarding this waited for.
Akshay Kumar is currently shooting for the Hindi remake of Kanchana titled Laaxmi Bomb. Directed by Lawrence, the film will also star Kiara Advani as the leading lady. It is not clear yet if Akshay will start the project with Krish immediately after Laaxmi Bomb or if he would want to buy some time.
Krish has been amidst heavy activity in the last year or so after he decided to quit Manikarnika and take up NTR biopic. Krish was not given the credits in Manikarnika as director which led to a war of words between the filmmaker and lead actress Kangana Ranaut. Post this, it was also rumoured that Krish was being given cold vibes from Balakrishna after the debacle of NTR biopic. With the project with Akshay Kumar in his hand, hope Krish comes back stronger.
